Marwadi University awards over 2,000 degrees, diplomas at 6th convocation ceremony

A total of 860 jobs positions were offered to students during the placement drive 2022-23 of Marwadi University.
NEW DELHI: Marwadi University Rajkot, Gujarat, awarded degrees and diplomas to 2,051 students during its sixth convocation ceremony. Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.
The university said those awarded degrees and diplomas also included 366 students from Syria, South Sudan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Zambia and other countries. It added that 444 companies participated in the placement drive during the academic Year 2022-23. A total of 850 job positions were offered during the placement drive, with the highest salary package offered being Rs 22 Lakhs per annum.
It also said 246 research papers published by the faculty and research scholars of the Marwadi university in the last academic year. As a result the university's H-index has increased from 26 to 37, indicating an increase in quality and impact of its research, it added. The university has also provided a seed grant of almost Rs 1 Crore to emerging researchers to support their research initiatives.
Five programmes started
In the academic year 2022-23, the institution introduced five new programmes across multiple disciplines including BSc and M.Sc. in Data Science, BSc (Hons.) in Economics, and Master programmes in Pharmaceutics and Regulatory Affairs. In response to the National Education Policy (NEP), the university also undertook the restructuring of existing programmes to align with evolving educational guidelines.

Congratulating the students, Arif Mohammed Khan said, “Despite having achieved a remarkable milestone, the institute, its faculty and students cannot rest. The university should keep aiming at high standards of excellence in future as well.”
Ketanbhai Marwadi, founder and president of Marwadi University, said “Reflecting on my own graduation experience thirty-five years ago, I recall a time when the options of jobs, careers and business were limited. However, the world has since evolved dramatically. The growth of India witnessed in our lifetime will be experienced by our graduating students in the next couple of years.”
