Try NowNEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - NEET results 2020 and the next step for candidates is to know what to do after this. The field of medicine, streamlined after the merger of AIIMS and JIPMER with NEET, makes the latter the only entrance exam for admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered nationwide. This year there are no ESIC seats for NEET UG counselling as the authorities have announced that these will be filled through All India Quota (AIQ).

NEET Counselling Process
The counselling process of NEET is divided into 5 steps. Details of the same can be checked below.
1. Registration - Candidates will first have to register themselves for the counselling process for AIQ seats at mcc.nic.in. While registering candidates will have to fill their roll number, registration number, name, mother’s name, and date of birth as printed on their NEET scorecard.
2. Counselling Fee Payment - In the next step candidates will have to make the fee payment for counselling. They will have to pay a refundable and a non-refundable fee.
3. Exercising & Locking Choices - Candidates will have to fill choice of course and give preferences of the college/institute they wish to get admission. There is no limit to the number of choices a candidate can fill. Candidates are advised to lock the choices in due time, failing which the choices will be locked automatically.
4. Seat Allotment List - The authorities will release the seat allotment list for NEET candidates in which they can check which college is allotted to them. Candidates will have to download the seat allotment letter of NEET.
5. Reporting to the Allotted College - In the final step candidates will have to report to the allotted college with their NEET allotment letter to complete the admission formalities.
