MCC NEET UG counselling 2024 choice filling, locking deadline extended till today

NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the NEET UG counselling 2024 choice filling deadline to August 21 and postponed the choice locking facility to 5 pm today. As per the schedule, the NEET UG 2024 counselling registration has been concluded for round 15% all India quota (AIQ) seats. Eligible candidates who have completed the registration process at the official website, mcc.nic.in, will have to finalise the choices of courses and medical colleges by tonight to be considered for admission into MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing courses.

“Choice locking will start from 05:00 PM Tomorrow and choice filling will end by 11:59 PM Tomorrow i.e. 21.08.2024,” the MCC official website read. Both NEET UG choice filling and locking facilities were scheduled to be closed on August 20, however, the MCC has extended the deadline by a day.
During the period, candidates will be allowed to modify, add, or delete choices, before locking the order of choices. However, after the choices are locked, they will not be allowed to modify.
“Once choice is filled in, it can be modified before locking it. During the choice locking period,it is necessary to lock the choices to get a print of your submitted choices. If a candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked as per schedule,” it said. However, if a student fails to register and fill choices before the deadline will not be allotted any seat.
NEET UG counselling date, documents
The MCC NEET UG counselling 2024 round 1 seat allotment will be declared on August 23 and the allocation will be processed by tomorrow. Candidates who have been allotted seats in NEET UG round 1 counselling will have to report to the college between August 24 to 29.
They are also required to carry the original and a photocopy of the following documents
- MCC NEET UG allotment letter
- NEET UG admit card 2024 issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA)
- NEET UG scorecard 2024
- Class 10 mark sheet or date of birth certificate.
- Class 12 certificate or mark sheet.
- Eight passport-size photographs same as the one affixed on the application form.
- Proof of identity - Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence, or passport.
- NRI candidates should submit passport copy of sponsorer, embassy certificate
- Sponsorship affidavit and relationship affidavit
- For OCI, PIO, foreign national candidates citizenship certificate and card number documents are mandatory.
