National Human Resource Seminar organized by Sharda University

NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 25: As a part of its ‘Industry Connect’ initiative, Sharda University organized National Human Resource (HR) Seminar in collaboration with Human Resource Federation of India (HRFI) to provide a platform for interaction among HR leaders from industry, faculty, and students, and to enhance the placement opportunities and industry projects for students.
Over 300 participants drawn from Industry, academia, students and faculty of Sharda University participated in the event, organized by the School of Business Studies, School of Engineering and Training and Placement departments.
P. K. Gupta, Chancellor, Sharda University said, “The way economy is growing, 7.4% in the education sector could be leading to the 'jobless growth' as compared to the earlier standard. Sharda University has started the initiative called ‘Industry Connect’ where we motivate our students to understand the economy and industry standards." He added that over 50 MOUs on different technologies have been signed to enhance the project based knowledge.
Speaking about the event Sumit Sen from HRFI said, “This event is a unique knowledge sharing platform where industry and academics come together. Here we talk about agility, as millennials seeking jobs have higher aspirations and requirements which are quite different from what it has been, so we are trying to bridge that gap and a provide a right platform for their future.”
The event saw the participation of a distinguished line-up of speakers including Ronald Sequeria, ED-HR South Asia of GlaxoSmithKline India, Sandeep Tyagi, Dir. HR - SAMSUNG Electronics Ltd, Amit Malik, Chief People Officer, Aviva Life Insurance India Ltd among others. The topics that were part of the one-day seminar included Artificial Intelligence & its relevance and impact in HR, Future Workplaces and Employee Experience & Engagement in the near Future. It concluded with a panel discussion on the topic ‘Creating an Agile Mindset for Sustained High Performance’.
