The competition in NEET 2021 is more fierce than ever. Last year, the NEET toppers had achieved the perfect score of 720. Candidates appearing for NEET 2021 are not competing to merely clear the NEET cut-offs, but to achieve high ranks in the medical entrance test. To do so, candidates will have to study, revise, and practice the entire syllabus of NEET 2021 in just four months. Studying without a plan or blindly following peers will do more harm than good. To guide your NEET preparation, Mayank Joshi, a top NEET UG educator at Unacademy, has some tips.

NEET 2021
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the NEET 2021 exam date, August 1. The NEET exam will continue to be in the pen-and-paper mode. NEET UG will be conducted in 11 languages, including English and 10 others. Although the NEET 2021 syllabus has not been officially released, it will remain the same as last year. Admission to 83,075 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 525 BVSc, and AH seats will be based on NEET scores.

“Consistency is the key to success”
For those wondering whether it is possible to prepare for NEET in four months, Josh said: “If aspirants are committed to put in their best efforts then 120 days are sufficient to crack NEET-21.” The smart aspirants will adopt a strategy based on their management of time, scoring areas, and strengths. “It is best to proceed with a preparation strategy, which divides and allots your preparation time for different topics according to the weightage of marks. Hone your strengths and give extra time for this,” added Joshi.

NEET timetable for time management
Students have to cover the entire NEET syllabus of physics, chemistry, and biology. In addition to mastering the syllabus, students also have to practice mock tests, previous years’ question papers, and revise all topics. Time management plays a crucial role in preparation for NEET exam 2021. “In addition, make a time table and follow it rigorously and note down all your doubts so that they can be cleared before the exam. Time management is another essential tool for cracking NEET and to ensure this, one must take multiple mock tests throughout your preparation,” explained Joshi.

NEET 2021 Physics preparation
The most difficult section of the NEET 2021 syllabus is physics. “For physics, it is important to understand the logic behind the equations for time-bound practice. Conceptual clarity is key for acing this part,” said Joshi.

Questions asked in NEET physics section are usually tricky, require calculations and concept-based. “Read the notes carefully for clarity on the concepts and formulae. Additionally, maintain a register for formulae and revise them regularly. Solve as many questions and numericals as you can to score over 150 in physics,” he added.

NEET 2021 Chemistry preparation
To ace the NEET chemistry section, cover basics and solve questions from the textbooks designed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) “For organic, inorganic and physical chemistry, focus more on NCERT content and solve subjective as well as objective questions mentioned in the book. For organic chemistry, in-depth knowledge and extra reading is essential,” said Joshi.

NEET 2021 Biology preparation
NEET biology carries the highest weightage in the exam. The key to preparing for the biology section of NEET 2021 is studying NCERT thoroughly. “For biology, cover all the NCERT topics and be thorough with previous-year questions. This will give you a perspective on the type of questions asked in NEET,” advised Joshi to NEET aspirants.
