NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) tomorrow, September 12, 2021, in pen and paper-based mode. The undergraduate medical exam will be conducted in 202 exam cities. Every candidate appearing for NEET 2021 must adhere to certain COVID-19 guidelines at the exam centre.

Since over 16 lakh candidates are expected to appear in NEET 2021, NTA has released the COVID-19 advisory along with the admit card. Along with the advisory, NEET 2021 admit card ‘self-declaration form has also been released. The self-declaration undertaking form of NEET 2021 will ensure that an aspirant is safe to appear for the exam. Candidates are advised to read the NEET 2021 COVID-19 advisory by NTA.

NEET 2021 COVID-19 guidelines to be followed at the centre

  • Hand sanitiser will be available at the entry date and inside the exam centre at various places for candidates and centre staff to use.

  • The gap of two seats will be maintained at the NEET 2021 examination hall.

  • The temperature of each candidate will be checked in the registration room via Thermo guns.

NEET 2021 pre-exam COVID-19 advisory

  • Candidates must reach the NEET 2021 exam centre at the time allotted to them on the admit card. It is to be noted that no aspirant will be permitted entry inside the NEET 2021 examination hall after the closing of the gate.

  • Aspirants need to maintain a space of at least six feet from each other at all times at NEET 2021 exam centre.

  • Students must bring a duly filled NEET 2021 admit card and undertaking along with other mandatory documents at the exam centre.

  • Candidates will have to wear masks and carry small sanitisers when reporting to the NEET 2021 exam centres.

NEET exam COVID-19 advisory during the exam

  • Students must sanitise their hands with a sanitiser available in the NEET 2021 exam hall.

  • Candidates are required to paste passport size photographs and sign on the attendance sheet and admit card after sanitizing hands with sanitiser.

  • In order to stop the chances of any UFM being used in the examination, candidates will be given fresh N95 masks.

NEET 2021 post-exam COVID advisory

  • Upon the conclusion of the exam, candidates must move out from the NEET 2021 exam hall in an orderly manner.

  • The NEET 2021 admit card must be handed over to the Invigilator after the exam concludes. Action will be taken against any candidate who doesn't hand over the admit card to the invigilator.

NEET 2021 will be conducted for admission to undergraduate medical, dental and BSc nursing courses. Through NEET 2021 scores, admission to 83,075 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, and 525 BVSc & AH seats.1,899 AIIMS and 249 JIPMER seats will be granted.
