Try NowNEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2025) registrations for admission to UG medical education in all medical colleges in India. Students, who want to appear for the single-largest medical entrance exam, can fill the NEET UG 2025 application form through the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. NEET Registration 2025 Live.
The NTA will conduct the NEET UG 2025 examination on May 4 and the application process has begun.
The NEET UG exam will be held in a single shift in OMR pen-paper mode to fill a total of 1,08,940 MBBS seats through the NEET UG 2025 test.
On February 1, while presenting the Union Budget 2025, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the addition of 10,000 MBBS seats in medical colleges with a target of more than 75,000 seats for the coming five years.
NEET UG 2025: Eligibility, application fee
Only those applicants will be able to sit in the NEET UG 2025 exam who are currently studying in intermediate (Class 12) or have cleared the board exam in the previous year.
Students, who fall under the general category, have to pay Rs 1,700 as an application fee for the NEET UG 2025 exam. Candidates from the general- economically weaker sections (General-EWS), other backward castes - and noncreamy layer (OBC-NCL) categories have to pay Rs 1,000 as a registration fee.
NTA on APAAR ID
Recently, the NTA clarified that APAAR ID is not mandatory for the NEET UG registrations and that the applicants can also use different modes to apply for the exam.
The announcement by the conducting agency came days after it asked aspirants to use their APAAR ID and Aadhaar-based authentication for filling NEET UG 2025 application form.
NEET UG 2025: Documents required to fill out the application form
Students are required to keep the following documents ready for a hassle-free NEET UG 2025 registration process. The file size and format of the candidate’s photo, signature, and documents is given below, as per last year’s information bulletin.
- Aadhaar card
- Class 10 and 12 marksheet.
- Class 10 and 12 passing certificate.
- A scanned copy of the candidate’s signature on a white sheet.
- Student’s finger and thumb impressions (scanned).
- Latest passport-size photograph.
- Government-approved valid ID proof.
- Category certificate (if required)
- Domicile certificate.
