NTA extends NEET UG May 3 exam fee refund window; submit bank details by July 14

Only around 10.28 lakh candidates have confirmed their bank details for the NEET UG 2026 fee refund till July 7.

Try NowThe National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline to apply for fee refund of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET UG 2026 conducted on May 3. The testing agency has provided candidates with another opportunity for confirmation, correction or updation of bank account details for refund of examination fee. Till July 7, only 10,28,223 candidates updated and confirmed their bank accounts. Re-NEET OMR sheet soon LIVE updates.

The public notice reads, "NTA has already started refunding the examination fee to these candidates. NTA is committed to refund the examination fee paid by all candidates in view of the cancellation of the NEET (UG) 2026 examination held on 03 May 2026."

NTA highlighted that a large number of students are yet to update/confirm their bank account details. To ensure every eligible candidate receives the refund, NTA once again extended the refund portal. Candidates who are yet to confirm and update their bank account by July 14, 2026 (up to 11:50 P.M.).
NTA notice reads, "Candidates may log in to the NEET (UG)-2026 registration portal by visiting neet.nta.nic.in and click on the link provided for "Bank Account Details Confirmation / Updation after completing two-factor authentication and access the refund link to submit their bank account details. Candidates may also upload a cancelled cheque, if desired, to ensure the accuracy of the bank account information."

How to apply for fee refund?
- Go to the official website neet.nta.nic.in
- On homepage, look for latest news section
- Click on the link that reads, "Another Opportunity for Confirmation, Correction or Updation of Bank Account Details for Refund of Examination Fee of NEET (UG) 2026 (Examination held on 03 May 2026)."
- Log in using registration number and password
- Complete two-factor authentification and submit bank details
- Upload scanned cancelled cheque and click on submit
- Download confirmation page for future references
While cancelling May 3 exam due to paper leak, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has announced that no student will be charged with fee for re-exam, rather, the fee paid by candidates will be refunded.
