NEET UG Counselling 2025: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the last date for registration and fee payment for the first round of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 counselling till July 31. Aspirants can register, fill in & lock their choices for the MCC NEET UG counselling 2025 on the official website mcc.nic.in.
MCC will conduct four rounds of NEET counselling 2025. As per the official NEET UG counselling schedule 2025, the choice-filling and locking facilities for NEET UG 2025 counselling will be available till 11:59 pm on July 28.
The NEET UG seat allotment process for round 1 counselling will take place between July 29 and 30. The provisional result of the first round is scheduled to be announced on July 31, while the final NEET UG seat allotment result 2025 will be declared thereafter with reporting between August 1 and 6, 2025.
The MCC conducts the NEET UG counselling for admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), and other allied medical programmes under the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical and dental colleges across the country.
Admission to the remaining 85 per cent of seats will be conducted by the respective state authorities through state-level counselling based on NEET UG scores. Several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Punjab, Assam, and Telangana, have already begun the registration process for their state-level NEET UG counselling.

Uttar Pradesh government has finalised the annual tuition fees for MBBS and MD, MS courses in private medical colleges of the state. The revised fee structure is approved by the Governor, following several meetings held by the fee regulatory committee between February and July this year.
Among MBBS courses, the annual tuition fee at Prasad Institute of Medical Science, Lucknow, ranges from Rs 11,03,932, and for Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences, Bareilly, to Rs 19,78,214.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced a revised fee structure for all MBBS and BDS colleges in the state for admissions. KEA has decreased both medical and dental colleges' fees in Karnataka. The previous year's BDS Government Dental College fee was Rs 50,100, while this year, it has been reduced to Rs 49,350.

For the 2025 NEET counselling, AIIMS Bathinda has a total of 100 MBBS seats available across various categories. Of these, 39 seats are reserved for candidates from the open category, with an additional two seats for those under the open-PwD quota. As many as 2,000 seats across 17 AIIMS will be filled through the MCC counselling process. Maharashtra fee regulator has substantially slashed the fees for both UG and PG courses at the state's most expensive medical college, while allowing a fee hike for MBBS, MD, MS at several other colleges. The Fee Regulating Authority (FRA) decided to cut the annual MD, MS fees at Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) Palghar to 13.11 lakh from Rs 19.32 lakh, a difference of Rs 6.21 lakh. While the MBBS fee structure was brought down from Rs 19.32 lakh to Rs 15.57 lakh, making a steep fee reduction by the regulator in recent years.
