Telangana doctors’ group, FAIMA condemn NEET UG 2026 paper leak, call it ‘complete systemic failure’

Register NowThe Healthcare Reforms Doctors Association (HRDA) of Telangana and the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) have condemned the NEET UG 2026 paper leak incident that led to the cancellation of the MBBS, BDS medical entrance test. The statement by HRDA and FAIMA follows the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) announcement on NEET UG 2026 exam cancellation due to paper leaks and the start of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe.
According to the statement, the investigation report by the Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) stated alarming similarities between the circulated “guess papers” and the original NEET UG 2026 question paper .
'Assault on merit, fairness': HRDA on NEET UG 2026 paper leak
Stressing upon the hard work, financial stress of MBBS, BDS aspirants, HRDA said: “ NEET is not merely an entrance examination; it is the foundation upon which lakhs of students build their medical careers after years of sacrifice, hard work, and financial struggle. Any compromise in such a national examination is nothing less than an assault on merit, fairness, and the future of honest aspirants.”
Viewing the paper leak incident as a “complete systemic failure of examination security and accountability”, the Telangana doctors’ group expressed that repeated controversies surrounding national-level examinations clearly indicate the existence of organised “exam mafias and deep-rooted” administrative negligence.
“Students who spent years preparing sincerely have now been subjected to severe mental trauma, uncertainty, and injustice because of the inability of authorities to ensure a transparent and secure examination process,” it added.
The doctors’ group further said that the cancellation of NEET UG 2026 exam due to paper leak is an “assault” on the years of sacrifice and financial struggle by lakhs of MBBS, BDS aspirants.

"NEET is the foundation upon which students build their medical careers," the HRDA stated. "Any compromise is nothing less than an assault on merit and the future of honest aspirants who are now subjected to severe mental trauma and uncertainty,” it added.
The HRDA has urged the government for a fast-track prosecution and strict criminal action under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and IT Act against coaching centers , officials, and intermediaries.
In addition, the government must ensure that any candidate who knowingly benefited from the leak is permanently banned from medical entrance exams , it said.
They should also implement an encrypted paper transmission and independent audit mechanism for future tests, it added.
