NMC invites applications for eligibility certificate for FMGE December 2022

Candidates who require an eligibility certificate to appear for FMGE exam can apply at nmc.org between June 15 to July 15.
NEW DELHI: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has invited online applications for eligibility certificate for Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE). Candidates who require an eligibility certificate can apply on the official website of NMC - nmc.org from tomorrow, June 15. The last date to submit applications for eligibility certificate is July 15, 2022 till 1 pm.

NMC’s latest notification reads, “As per the requirements, the candidates who are required to have an eligibility certificate are not permitted to apply for screening test without the eligibility certificate issued by the National Medical Commission.”

NMC informed that incomplete applications will not be processed and will be rejected. Thereafter the application portal will be closed, it said.
The medical regulator asked students to confirm the requirement of eligibility certificate by referring to public notices dated December 11, 2018 and April 5, 2019.
As per NMC’s notification, FMGE may be scheduled tentatively in the month of December 2022 by the National board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
Meanwhile, NMC issued a clarification regarding the eligibility criteria for final year postgraduate (PG) students without completing the ‘Online course in Research Methods’ for appearing in the final examination 2022. Medical students will be allowed to appear in the final exams provided they complete the course in six months, as per the official statement.
