NMIMS launches new diploma engineering programme for Class 10 pass students

NEW DELHI: The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) through its Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering (MPSTME) has introduced a new diploma engineering programme. This three-year course is designed for students who have completed their Class 10.
As per the institute, the programme is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and provides a pathway for students to pursue their degree in engineering. The new diploma engineering programme offers four specialisations including mechanical engineering, information technology, computer engineering and computer science engineering.
The registration process for the programme is under way and the last date to fill out the application form is July 14. Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000 to register for the programme. The counselling date for admission is set for July 20 and the course will commence on August 1.

To be eligible for the programme, candidates should have passed the Class 10 or its equivalent with at least 70% aggregate marks. The institute informed that the new programme will be available at the Mumbai campus only.
There will be 60 seats each in mechanical engineering, information technology, and computer science engineering. The computer engineering programme will have 180 seats.
Talking about the new programme, the vice-chancellor of NMIMS, Ramesh Bhat, said: “The launch of the Diploma Engineering Programme is a major step in our ongoing commitment to providing accessible and high-quality education. We are confident that this programme will lay a strong foundation for future engineers and equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to lead in their respective fields.”
