CSIR UGC-NET June 2026 registration ends today at csirnet.nta.nic.in; exam from July 17

Candidates have until today to apply for CSIR UGC-NET June 2026, while fee payment and application correction deadlines remain open later this month
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration process for the Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC-NET) June 2026 today, June 19, 2026. Candidates can fill out the application form on the NTA CSIR NET at csirnet.nta.nic.in.
Applicants can submit the application fee for the examination until June 20, 2026, up to 11:50 pm. The application correction window will be available from June 22 to June 23, 2026, allowing applicants to make necessary changes to their submitted forms within the specified period.
Candidates belonging to the general category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 1,150. The fee for applicants from the general-EWS and OBC-NCL categories is Rs 600, while candidates belonging to the SC, ST, PwD and third gender categories need to pay Rs 325.

Applicants can register for the Joint CSIR UGC-NET June 2026 by following the steps given below:
- Visit the official website at csirnet.nta.nic.in
- Click on the Joint CSIR UGC-NET June 2026 Registration link
- Register using a valid mobile number and email ID
- Enter the required personal and academic details in the application form
- Upload the prescribed documents, including photograph and signature
- Pay the application fee through debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI
- Submit the application form and download the confirmation page for future reference
Joint CSIR UGC-NET June 2026: Exam details
The Joint CSIR UGC-NET June 2026 examination is scheduled to be held on July 17 and 18, 2026 in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The test will be conducted in two shifts each day, with the first shift from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. Candidates will be allotted three hours to complete the examination. The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi.

This exam is conducted for the admission to PhD programs, an assistant professorship, a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), or both in Indian universities and colleges.
