RV University appoints professor Sanjay Kumar as vice-chancellor
Kumar has been the VC of Amity University Kolkata and Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences.

NEW DELHI : Professor Sanjay Kumar has been appointed as the vice-chancellor of RV University. Kumar has previously held the position of VC at reputable universities such as Amity University Kolkata and Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences.
Professor Kumar, a graduate of BITS and Ranchi University, holds two postgraduate degrees: an MBA and an MTech, along with a PhD in Engineering from IIT Delhi. He also earned a second PhD in Management from Jain (Deemed-to-be-University).
Professor Kumar is a recipient of the Vishisht Seva Medal, awarded by the President of India, in recognition of his exceptional research, innovation, and unwavering dedication to the nation.
With a stellar track record in academia, research, and leadership, Professor Kumar has made significant contributions across multiple fields, including satellite communication, aerospace technology, renewable energy, and electronics and communication engineering. He has authored seven influential publications, such as "Concepts and Applications of Microwave Engineering" and "Wave Propagation and Antenna Engineering," which are highly regarded in their respective domains. His research has been featured in prominent national and international journals.
In addition to his academic accomplishments, Professor Kumar has worked with leading national institutions like the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), and the Indian Air Force (IAF). His contributions have earned him numerous national and international awards, including the AVM Harjinder Singh Trophy for academic excellence.
