School Reopen in UP: Schools for all classes to reopen from February 14

COVID-19: The Uttar Pradesh government has allowed schools for all classes, all educational institutions to reopen from February 14.
NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to reopen schools for Classes nursery to 12 from February 14 as the state witnesses a decline in COVID-19 cases. In a latest order by the Yogi government on COVID-19 guidelines, the state has allowed classes from nursery to 12 to resume offline classes from February 14.
The Uttar Pradesh government had ordered closure of schools till January 30, 2022, due to the rise in Covid-19 cases in the state. However, online classes will continue as usual in all schools, colleges and other educational institutions, Avnish Kumar Awasthi, additional chief secretary, Uttar Pradesh, said, as per the ANI report.
Meanwhile, as high schools across Karnataka up to class 10 are set to reopen on February 14, the state government on Friday issued a series of directions to district administrations, aimed at maintaining peace and that the High Court order is not violated. Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai today held a meeting of ministers with deputy commissioners (DCs), superintendent of police (SPs), deputy director of public instruction (DDPIs) and CEOs of Zilla Panchayats of all districts, via video conferencing, to review the ground situation.
Moreover, schools in Delhi are gearing up to welcome the students of junior classes from Monday even as some parents are still apprehensive about sending their children to schools. Following a prolonged closure in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, schools reopened for classes 9 to 12 on Monday (February 7) while they will reopen for classes nursery to 8 from February 14.
