NEW DELHI: The COVID-19-positive cases in the nation are hitting a low for more than two months now. Some states are still affected by the Novel Coronavirus, however, many states are showing signs of relief. Some states have decided to reopen schools in September. States like Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh have already reopened the schools for classes 9 to 12.

States like Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand have decided to resume offline classes for Classes 6 to 8 as well. Most of the states including Delhi have opted to reopen schools with 50 percent of their capacity. States have reassured the parents and guardians that all the COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed during the physical classes.
The schools across the nation have moved to online learning in March 2020, due to nationwide lockdown. The schools have been shut for more than a year now. As the situation is now improving in the states, the government is now slowly moving back to offline Classes again.

The schools in Kolkata may reopen after Durga Puja. Any official announcement on the School reopening date in Kolkata is yet to be made. Not more than 15-20 students will be allowed to sit in a single classroom.

Kerala has decided to set up an expert panel to study the practicality of reopening schools in the state. The expert panel will prepare a report regarding the school reopening in Kerala. The report would suggest which classes can be reopened in the initial phase.
The Chhattisgarh government has permitted private and government schools in Chhatisgarh to reopen for Classes 6, 7, 9 and 11 with 50 percent attendance.
Students will attend the classes on alternate days. Only 50 percent of the students will attend school in a day. Students suffering from cough, cold, and fever will not be allowed to attend the classes.
The Haryana government has reopened schools in Haryana for classes 4 and 5 on Wednesday. Parents consent is required to attend the physical classes.
Earlier, the government had issued guidelines regarding the reopening of schools in Haryana. As per the released guidelines, not more than one student is allowed to sit on a desk, sharing of food or stationery items is prohibited.
Schools for primary classes of Uttar Pradesh have reopened on September 1, 2021. The school has reopened with little attendance in the state. Classes from 9 to 12 and 6 to 8 had started from August 16 and 24, respectively.
The schools in Tamil Nadu have reopened schools for classes 9 to 12 on September 1, 2021. However, no dates have been announced for the reopening of schools in Tamil Nadu for Classes 6 to 8.
The schools in Tamil Nadu have reopened after 5 months yesterday. The government had issued detailed SOP's regarding the reopening of schools in the state, which includes the presence of 50 percent students at a time.
Schools in Delhi have resumed offline Classes today after 17 months. Students have attended the schools today despite being a rainy day in the capital.
Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in a recent tweet said: “Schools are opening today after 17 months, children will again sit in their classrooms to study, have fun with friends. And yes, despite the rain children have reached the school, obviously, children were also eagerly waiting for their school to open.”
The Jharkhand Government is yet to announce school reopening dates for Classes 1 to 8. It is expected that the government will soon reopen the schools in the state. The schools in Jharkhand have reopened for higher Classes in August.
The schools in Telangana are allowed to reopen from September 1. The Telangana High Court yesterday permitted the reopening of schools in Telangana from September 1.
However, the court has stayed the physical reopening of government residential schools. The HC also said that it is not mandatory for students to attend offline Classes.
The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today in a meeting reviewed the school reopening in India status with senior officials. The education ministry has said that their focus is to vaccinate teaching and non-teaching staff in all the schools.
'The government of India is prioritising vaccination of teaching & non-teaching staff in schools across India to ensure a safe environment for the reopening of schools,' said the Education Ministry.

Leh district will reopen schools for classes 6 to 8 from September 6. All the private and government schools for Classes 6 to 8 will resume Classes in Leh. The school reopening in Leh notification is released by Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Leh Shrikant Suse.

The schools in Himachal are now closed till September 4, 2021. Earlier, the schools were closed till August 28, 2021. The date has been extended due to the current COVID 19 situation in the state. The new schools reopening in Himachal Pradesh date will be announced by the government soon.
Tamil Nadu state has resumed offline classes from today. The schools in Tamil Nadu will function six days a week. Each class will be split into two batched with not more than 20 students in each batch.
As per the school reopen in Rajasthan latest news today, the schools are reopening for Classes 9 to 12 today. Tests will be held every month for evaluation.
School Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra said, “we have now decided to take tests every month to evaluate students. The results of these tests will be used to evaluate students whenever the need arises in the future."

As per latest news on school reopen in Rajasthan, the Government will reopen schools for classes 9 to 12 today i.e. September 1, 2021. The SOP has also been issued by the government that should be followed by educational institutes.
Assam education department has postponed the decision to reopen schools in the state from September 1, according to a report by the Times of India. The department has dropped the plan to reopen schools in Assam due to health concerns.
Schools in Madhya Pradesh are all set to reopen from tomorrow. The schools will resume Classes 6 to 12 with 50% capacity. Schools have to follow all the safety protocols and parent's consent is mandatory.
The national capital is all set to reopen schools in Delhi from September 1, 2021. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has issued SOP's regarding the reopening of schools in Delhi. The guidelines issued by DDMA include mandatory thermal screening, staggered lunch breaks, alternate seating arrangements in classrooms, and avoiding routine guest visits.

The Telangana High Court has stayed the decision to reopen schools from September 1 for one week. The HC has said that the physical classes are not mandatory.
“No student from any school private or government, KG to class 12, shall be compelled to attend physical classes from September 1," said the Telangana HC.
The schools in Karnataka will reopen from September 6 for Classes 6 to 8, according to a Times of India report. The schools will reopen in taluks where the positivity rate is less than 2%.
The schools in Delhi will reopen from September 1, in a phased manner. The schools will first reopen for senior classes, followed by the middle-level class. Delhi schools for Classes 6 to class 8 will start from September 8, 2021.
The schools in Puducherry are all set to reopen tomorrow, i.e. from September 1, 2021. The government has instructed the schools to get all the preparation done before September 1, 2021.
Tamil Nadu state is all set to reopen schools in the state tomorrow. The offline classes in Tamil Nadu will resume with 50 percent capacity. The classes will be conducted in two batches, with 20 students in each batch.
