Smart India Hackathon 2023 finale concludes at Manipal Institute of Technology
Smart India Hackathon 2023 Finale: Participants who won each problem statement received a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.

NEW DELHI: The Smart India Hackathon 2023, organised by the Ministry of Education, MoE's Innovation Cell, and AICTE concluded. The SIH 2023 grand finale was scheduled from December 19 to 23. Over the course of five days, participants displayed skills, demonstrating their proficiency and competence in the hardware industry.
SIH 2023 received almost 50,000 ideas from 44,000 teams, representing a nearly sevenfold increase as compared to the first edition of SIH. The grand final included over 12,000 participants and over 2500 mentors. The SIH was scheduled at 48 nodal centres across the country.
A team of judges comprising of industry professionals and executives evaluated the finalists and selected the Smart India Hackathon 2023 winners.
Vinod V Thomas, registrar evaluation, MAHE, while addressing the participants and audience said "Engineering being a team play, an opportunity for the minds to come together to solve the problems in our society and the SIH was looking for unique solutions from young generations." He further emphasised that MAHE is generating such engineering as a vision of founder TMA Pai.
Smart India Hackathon 2023: Winners
Cyril Joseph, SPOC, SIH 2023, declared the Smart India Hackathon 2023 winners for each problem statement presented by the state government and the central ministry.

SIH 1503 (Ministry of Ayush) – won by Team NIET Hacktastic six from Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

SIH 1327 (Government of Kerala) – won by Team Hexa Titans from Vivekanandha College of Engineering for Women (Autonomous), Tiruchengod, Tamil Nadu.

SIH 1361 (Government of Gujarat) – won by Team Stimutech from KCG College of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

SIH 1323 (Government of Kerala) – won by Team STERI-SQUAD from Adamas University, Kolkata.
Anil Rana, director of MIT Manipal, complimented all participants on their determination and dedication in stepping outside their comfort zones to participate in this Smart India Hackathon 2023. He encouraged participants to keep up their spirit of creative thinking and ingenuity regardless of the outcome, citing TechShilla, a hub of important student projects at MIT, Manipal, which, despite failing multiple challenges, continues to work on their ideas.
