Social justice ministry offers 23 job opportunities to recent graduates

Jobs: The 23 will monitor the implementation of the ministry’s schemes. Graduates from institutions ranked in NIRF 2020 will be considered.

NEW DELHI: The Union ministry of social justice and empowerment has invited applications from graduates of any discipline below the age of 25 years for two-year contractual jobs monitoring the implementation of its schemes.

As a part of the project monitoring unit of the department, selected candidates will travel to the field and submit inspection reports on the implementation of the ministry's schemes. If needed, the candidates will be expected to suggest mid-course correction as well.

A total of 23 posts are open, all in the National Institute of Social Defence, New Delhi, and the hired candidates will report directly to the director of NISD. The NISD is the nodal training and research institute in the field of social defense.

If selected, the employee will receive a salary of Rs 75,000 per month in addition to separate allowances while on tour. The last date to apply for the job is May 31, 2021.

Selection process

The ministry will shortlist 230 candidates based on criteria including strength of the institution, social work done, educational achievements. Students from institutions ranked in the National Institutional Ranking Framework’s 2020 list will be considered. “Calling all idealistic youth to join [the] Ministry of Social Justice to better monitor the schemes for the poorest,” wrote R Subrahmanyam, secretary, MSJE, on social media.

As per the job description, work experience in “reputable” non-governmental organisations up to one year and above is preferable. An internship, however, will not be considered as work experience.

The shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a written aptitude test, group discussion and interview. The test and interview will be conducted between June 15 and June 30.

All selected candidates will be joining before July 15, 2021.
