SSC JE 2023: Paper 1, 2 marking scheme revised; know what's changed

Subscribe NowNEW DELHI : The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the marking scheme of the Junior Engineer (JE) 2023 examination. Accordingly, the negative marking for paper 1 and paper 2 has been changed to 0.25 marks and one mark respectively.
Earlier, one-third of marks allotted to the question were supposed to be deducted for each wrong answer in both the papers. Candidates appearing for the exam can check the revised marking scheme on the official website, ssc.nic.in.

There will be negative marking equal to one-third of the marks allotted to the question for each wrong answer in Paper-I and Paper-II. |
There will be negative marking of (a) 0.25 marks in Paper-I and (b) 1 mark in Paper-II for each wrong answer. |
“Other terms and conditions of the Notice of aforesaid examination shall remain unchanged,” SSC said in an official notice.
The commission will conduct the exam for civil, mechanical and electrical engineers from October 9 to October 11. Paper 1 will be held for three subjects which will carry a total of 200 marks. Paper 2 will be conducted for one subject which will carry 300 marks. The duration of both the papers will be two hours each. Paper 1 will be held in two shifts – morning shift from 10 am to 12 noon and afternoon shift from 2 pm to 4 pm. Moreover, both the exams will include multiple choice questions.
