Subscribe NowThe Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued the option-cum-preference form for the Junior Engineer (civil, mechanical & electrical) examination. Applicants can submit the form on the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in. The last date to fill out the form is June 14, 2026.
This form is available for the aspirants who appeared in paper-II of the JE examination. Candidates must select their preferred departments and postings through the option-cum-preference form based on their eligibility and merit rank.
Once the form is duly filled and submitted, candidates will receive a confirmation email at their registered email address.

SSC JE Option- Cum-Preference Form 2026: Steps to fill the form
To fill out the option-cum-preference form, applicants can follow the steps given below:
- Visit the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in
- On the homepage, log in and then open the option-cum-preference form
- Fill out the required information and then submit
- Save the downloaded form and take a printout for further reference
As per official notice, candidates who do not submit their option-cum-preference within the specified timeframe will not be provided any additional chance to do so, and they will be excluded from consideration for the final merit list and selection process. PwBD candidates are required to ensure that they select only those posts that are suitable for their specific disabilities.

About SSC JE Exam 2025
The SSC JE exam 2026 is a national-level recruitment examination conducted for engineering posts in various central government departments such as CPWD, MES, BRO, CWC, and others. The paper 1 exam was conducted in computer-based mode and the result was announced on March 6, 2026, to shortlist candidates for paper-II, which was conducted on April 7, 2026.
The SSC JE selection process is conducted in multiple stages. It begins with Paper I, which covers topics, including general intelligence & reasoning, general awareness, and engineering subjects. Candidates who are shortlisted, appeared for the paper II, which consist descriptive engineering examinations. The final stage of the process is document verification.
