Students can request their schools to change exam centre city: CBSE

Check NowNEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that students who are not residing in the city of their schools can send requests to their respective schools to change the examination centre city.

“It has come to the notice of the board that some students are still not in the city of their school where they had taken admission and are residing somewhere else,” a statement from CBSE read.
In view of this, CBSE will inform students at an appropriate time to send their requests, the board said.

Schools will have to follow the instructions given by the board to forward the requests of the students to CBSE in an online system, the board said.
CBSE has asked students to keep checking the website for updates. As soon as CBSE informs the students, they need to make a request to their school within the given time frame, CBSE said. The schedule will be of a short duration.
CBSE will not accept any request beyond the given schedule for change in examination centre city, the board further said.
CBSE has announced the CBSE term 1 Class 10, 12 date sheet . Class 10 term 1 examination will start from November 30 and will conclude on December 11. Whereas CBSE Class 12 term 1 exams will be held from December 1 to December 22 . Students can check the complete schedule on CBSE’s official website, cbse.gov.in.
The board will conduct CBSE term 1 board exams 2022 for minor subjects for Classes 10 and 12 from November 17 and November 16, respectively.

CBSE controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said that the date sheets for the minor subjects will be sent directly to the schools as those exams will be conducted by the schools but with the board's question papers.
Bharadwaj also said that for most of the students, the board is likely to assign their own schools as exam centres which will be sanitised before exams are held.
