The French Government’s higher education fair, Choose France Tour 2025, will be held in India this October. It will take place in Chennai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, with participation from more than 50 French universities and institutions.
In Chennai, the event will be held on October 5 at The Leela Palace. In New Delhi, it will take place on October 7 at Le Méridien, followed by Kolkata on October 9 at JW Marriott. The tour will conclude in Mumbai on October 11 at Hotel Sahara Star.
The event is organised by Campus France, the French agency for promoting higher education, to strengthen academic ties with India. According to the official press release, France is the sixth popular study destination, hosting over 400,000 international students annually. The QS World University Rankings 2026 lists 35 French universities, including four in the top 100.
The Choose France Tour 2025 will highlight nearly 1,700 English-taught programmes across fields such as management, engineering, science, law, fashion, design, and arts. For students who do not speak French, the fair will provide information on language and foundation courses, including Classes internationales, to support entry into degree programmes.

Scholarships and support for Indian students
The official press release states that over 500 scholarships are offered to Indian students every year for higher studies in France. It also mentions that students receive housing assistance and social security benefits covering up to 70 per cent of medical costs.
“After graduation, Master’s students are entitled to a two-year residence permit to explore employment or entrepreneurship, while the five-year Alumni Schengen Visa offers seamless mobility across Europe,” the press release said.
This year’s Choose France Tour will also highlight strengthening academic cooperation between India and France. France aims to host 30,000 Indian students by 2030 and currently has around 600 partnerships with Indian institutions.
