TS EdCET 2025 registration begins tomorrow at edcet.tsche.ac.in; eligibility criteria

TS EdCET 2025 Registration: Candidates will be able to fill the TS EdCET 2025 application form till May 13 without late fees.
NEW DELHI: The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) will commence the registration process for the Telangana Education Common Entrance Test (TG EdCET) 2025 from tomorrow, March 12. Interested candidates can apply for Telangana EdCET 2025 through the official website at edcet.tsche.ac.in.
As per the schedule, candidates will be able to fill the TS EdCET 2025 application form till May 13 without late fees. The TS EdCET 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 1 in online computer based test mode.
The Telangana EDCET exam will be administered from 10 am to 12 noon, and 2 pm to 4 pm. The registration fee for the TS EdCET 2025 is Rs 750 for general candidates and Rs 550 for SC, ST, and PH candidates.
TS EdCET 2025: Eligibility criteria
Local/Non-Local Status : The applicant must satisfy the local or non-local status as defined by the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974. This typically refers to the applicant's place of domicile or residence within the state of Telangana.
Students who meet the criteria of either being a local resident or meeting other specified conditions regarding their parentage or residence are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualifications : Applicants must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field. This means that a candidate should have completed their undergraduate or postgraduate studies in a discipline that aligns with the eligibility requirements for teacher education (like arts, science, commerce, etc).
- The minimum marks required in the qualifying examination (Bachelor's or Master's degree) are:
- 50% marks for the general category.
- 45% marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories (such as SC/ST/BC).
Candidates who are currently in their final year of the undergraduate or postgraduate course can also apply, as long as they meet the academic qualifications by the time of admission.
