NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh (UP) Police result 2024, declared on November 21, has sparked a wave of concerns as several candidates have been simply shown ‘not shortlisted’ in place of scorecards. State constable aspirants are demanding the release of marks, questioning the transparency of the exam. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB) announced the UP Police Constable result 2024 for the written exam on the official website, uppbpb.gov.in.
The written examination for direct recruitment to the posts of Reserve Civil Police was conducted in a total of 10 shifts on August 23, 24, 25 and 30, and 31, 2024. Along with the UP Police result PDF, UPPBP has also released the UP Police result cut off 2024. Since the exam was held in multiple shifts, the board used a normalisation process to prepare the UP Police constable result.
Aspirants alleged that their result is just showing “Sorry, you have not been shortlisted for DV/PST” and argued that even if they have failed to clear the recruitment exam, they deserve to know how much they have scored.
‘Release UP Police marks’
#Release_UPPolice_marks is trending on social media as candidates took to social media, urging the recruitment board to release their raw scores and normalised scores in the competitive exam.
Sharing the screenshot of his result, a candidate said in a post on X, “The result of UP Police Recruitment has been declared today and the result of those who have failed is showing something like this. It is not showing how many numbers have been obtained by the candidate. After all, we should also know how many marks the people who passed have got or how many marks the ones who missed out on, have they not?
“The government claims that the recruitment process is transparent, but when even the marks of the candidates are not being shown, how can it be considered transparent? It is requested that marks of the candidates should be shown in the UP Police Result, so what is the problem in showing the marks?” asked an X user.

Another candidate wrote on X, “Only the list of UP police constable 2024 result has come. It is requested that the RAW marks and normalized marks of all the students should be told so that it can be known how many marks have increased or decreased.”
“When the student does not even know his final marks then how can the recruitment be considered transparent? When there is a transparent process then what is the problem in showing the marks? Sir, please try to clear the confusion of the students,” said another candidate.
An aspirant raised eyebrows on the fairness and transparency of the exam. “Sir, what should I understand, why is the recruitment board maintaining silence, there are thousands of students like me who got left out despite having marks, why is this so, if transparency was to be brought then the score card was also not given along with the result, what is the meaning of this, here is my number,” the aspirant posted.
