UPSC CDS 1 registration 2025 ends on December 31 at upsc.gov.in; vacancy details, application fee

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the application process for the Combined Defence Services Examination (UPSC CDS) 1 exam 2025 on December 31. Interested candidates can fill out the UPSC CDS 1 application form 2025 through the official website at upsc.gov.in.
“Registration has to be done only once in a lifetime. This can be done anytime throughout the year. If the candidate is already registered, he/she can proceed straightway to filling up the online application for the examination,” the official notice read.
Following the registration deadline, the commission will open the UPSC CDS 1 application 2025 correction window on January 1. Successfully registered candidates will be able to make changes in the UPSC CDS 2025 application form through the correction facility.
The UPSC CDS 2025 application correction facility till January 7. Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to edit the UPSC CDS 1 application form 2025.
UPSC CDS 1 exam date 2025
As per the official notice, the UPSC CDS 1 exam 2025 is scheduled to be held on April 13, 2025, at various examination centres across the country. The UPSC CDS 1 admit card 2025 will be issued on the last working day of the preceding week of the examination date.
The UPSC CDS 2025 admit card is a mandatory document for the examination day. Candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam without their hall tickets.

UPSC CDS 1 2025: Application fee
To register for the UPSC CDS 2025 exam, candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 200. “All female candidates and candidates belonging to scheduled castes (SC) and scheduled tribes (ST) are exempted from paying any fee. However, no fee exemption is available to OBC candidates, who are required to pay the full prescribed fee,” the CDS notification read.

The UPSC CDS recruitment drive 2025 aims to fill a total of 457 vacancies in the organisation through the recruitment exam. Candidates can check the vacancy details in each military academy given below-
- Indian Military Academy, Dehradun - 160th (DE) Course commencing in January 2026 - 100 posts
- Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala - Course commencing in January, 2026 Executive Branch - 32 posts
- Air Force Academy, Hyderabad - (Pre-Flying) Training Course commencing in January, 2026 - 32 posts
- Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Madras) 123rd SSC (Men) (NT) (UPSC) Course Commencing in April, 2026 - 275 posts
- Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Madras) 37th SSC Women (NT) (UPSC) Course commencing in April, 2026 - 18 posts
