NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 20: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has introduced ‘Online Question Paper Representation Portal (QPRep)’, a new portal to raise objections against the questions asked in the examination. The facility to raise objections through the online portal will be available for the candidates appearing for UPSC ESE 2019 preliminary exam on January 6. Candidates will be able to submit the representation for the wrong questions from January 7 to 13, 2019 on https://upsconline.nic.in/miscellaneous/QPRep/ .
It is for the very first time that UPSC will allow candidates to submit their grievances against the question papers and this facility will be available only for a limited period. Thus, candidates must submit their grievances within the limited time frame. Candidates will not be allowed to make representations through any other mode.
This portal has been launched by the UPSC to bring transparency in the selection process. UPSC may initiate similar kind of facility for all their examinations like CDS, NDA, UPSC Civil Services Examinations etc. In the case of examination which will be conducted for more than a day, candidates can raise objections, if any, the next day as per the exam date.
Earlier, candidates had no option to raise objections or queries against the question papers. This facility will enable candidates to submit their representations against the question papers if they find any discrepancies in the same.
UPSC is a central agency which conducts examinations like Civil Services, Engineering Services, Defence Services, and Medical Services. It also conducts Economic Service, Statistical Service, and Police Forces examinations.
