35 MIT Manipal students placed in Microsoft with 44 lakh salary package

MIT placement 2021: 35 Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal have received a 44 lakh salary package from Microsoft. Companies like Adobe, Amazon, Flipkart, Oracle etc. participated.
NEW DELHI: 35 students of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal have received placement in Microsoft with an annual salary package of 44 lakhs.
“This is the highest number of offers made by Microsoft at MIT, Manipal,” a statement from Manipal Academy of Higher Education said.
The institute is conducting online placements for the students of the academic year 2021-22. The placements are still in continuation.

Apart from Microsoft, companies like Adobe, Amazon, Bajaj Finserv, BlackRock, Chargebee, Cisco Systems, Citrix R&D, Cloudera, Cohesity, Commvault, Deutsche India Pvt. Ltd., Fidelity Investment, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Hevodata, HPE, JP Morgan, Komprise, Nvidia, Oracle, Sabre Travels, SAP Labs, Tejas Networks, UBS Business, VM Ware, Wells Fargo, Western Digital took part in the virtual placements 2021.
“292 students secured placement and internship offers with an average package of ₹18.2 lakhs per annum,” said the MAHE statement.
Anil Rana, director, MIT, Manipal congratulated the students on their success and assured that the institute will always provide support to all its students to pursue excellence.

Recently, the MAHE launched a fee waiver scheme for all students who have lost a sole earning parent during the time period of their programme.
The scholarship scheme, Ramdas M Pai Scholarship, was introduced on the birthday of MAHE’s Chancellor, Ramdas M Pai.
Earlier, the scholarship scheme was for students who had lost a parent due to COVID-19, however, now it has been extended to all undergraduate and postgraduate students who have lost a bread earner due to any mishap while they’re studying in any college, university linked to MAHE.

MD Venkatesh, Vice-Chancellor of MAHE said: “Our new scholarship will come into effect from today, on the birthday of Dr Ramdas Pai, Chancellor of Manipal University. We believe, COVID-19 may be short lived but we want to extend this benefit to students for eternity as we go forward. The students who have lost their sole earning parent due to COVID-19 or any other mishap, will be supported through a complete fee waiver.”
