Free DownloadThe Indian Air Force (IAF) has extended the registration deadline for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT 1) 2026 to December 19. Eligible candidates who have not yet applied can fill the AFCAT 1 2026 application form through the official website, afcat.cdac.in.

The AFCAT 1 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on January 31 at 104 exam centres across the country. The AFCAT 2026 exam aims to fill a total of 340 vacancies in the department.
Before applying for the exam, candidates must have their Class 10 and 12 certificates and details, a valid email ID, a valid mobile number, and Aadhaar card details ready.
The AFCAT 1 application fee is Rs 550 plus applicable GST, and candidates can select up to 5 exam cities in order of preference from the list of AFCAT exam centres.
Candidates will be able to download the AFCAT 1 admit card 2026 from January 22 onwards.

AFCAT 1 Registration 2026: Eligibility criteria
Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria given below are eligible to appear for the AFCAT 1 2026 exam .
For Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Candidates must have a minimum of 60% in physics and mathematics and hold a minimum of a 4-year graduation degree or an integrated post-graduation qualification in engineering or technology from a recognised university.
For the Flying branch, candidates must have completed a minimum 3-year graduation in any discipline with at least 60% marks and must have studied maths and physics at the Class 12 level, or hold a BE/BTech degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks.
For the Technical branch, candidates must hold a 4-year degree qualification or have cleared sections A and B of the associate membership examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Aeronautical Society of India with at least 60% marks.
The age limit for candidates applying to the Flying Branch is 20 to 24 years, while for Ground Duty branches, it is 20 to 26 years.
