AFCAT 2-2021: Key points to remember before applying

NEW DELHI: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the application form for (Air Force Common Admission Test) AFCAT for the August 2021 session on June 1, 2021. The last date to apply for AFCAT is June 30, 2021. To successfully fill the AFCAT application , there are few things that candidates must know. This will help them to fill the form correctly and to evade rejection at the later stage of recruitment process.

According to the IAF, if an applicant has submitted more than one form, the latest submitted form against a particular Aadhaar number will be considered. The admit card will also be issued to the latest submitted applicant. However, the fee deposited while filling additional applications will not be refunded.

AFCAT 2 2021 Exam Date

Key points to remember before applying for AFCAT 2/2021

• Candidates between the age group of 20 to 24 years can apply for the Flying branch of the AFCAT exam. The upper age limit for candidates with valid DGCA commercial license is 26 years.

• For candidates applying for Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch the age limit is 20-26 years.

• Graduates can apply for the AFCAT exam.

• Final year candidates without any backlogs can also apply. They will have to score a minimum of 60% marks up to the last semester/year. However, these candidates will have to submit their passing certificate after getting selected.

• Candidates under the age of 24 must be unmarried at the time of the AFCAT course.

• Those who are 25 above and married will not be provided family accommodation during the training period.

• IAF is strict with marriage policies and if any candidate gets married during the training, then they will be discharged and will have to return the expenses incurred on them.

• The minimum height for male and female candidates applying for flying branch is 162.5 cms.

• The minimum height for male candidates applying for ground duty is 157.5 cms, while that for female candidates is 152 cms.

• Candidates who are already working in a government-run institution, will have to submit the NOC irrespective of being permanent, temporary or a contractual employee.
