AICTE invites applications for scholarship programme for diaspora students
The scholarship is offered for courses like BTech, BCom, BBA, BPharm, BSc, BArch, LLB etc. The last date to apply for the scholarship programme is November 30.

NEW DELHI: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) offers Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children (SPDC) for the children of Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) or children of Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), to help them in pursuing undergraduate courses in Indian Universities or institutes.

Interested candidates can check the detailed guidelines, eligibility criteria, application process, list of countries, and other details at the official website of SPDC - spdcindia.gov.in. The last date to apply for the scholarship is November 30.

How To Apply
After getting admission in a selected course in any of the institutes as mentioned in Appendix ‘C’, students who are eligible can submit the online application form on the SPDC portal - spdcindia.gov.in.

Under the programme, students get financial assistance for particular professional and non-professional courses (except Medical and related courses) towards tuition fee, admission fee and post-admission services.
Only fresh year students (first year) students shall be eligible to grant the scholarship under SPDC. A total of 150 scholarships are provided every year to eligible students.

- Engineering or Architecture or Technology
- Humanities or Liberal Arts
- Commerce
- Management
- Computers
- Journalism Degree in Journalism
- Hotel Management Bachelor in Hotel Management
- Agriculture or Animal Husbandry
- Sciences
- Law
- Ayurveda Graduation in Ayurveda
- BSc Nursing
- BPT Bachelors in Physiotherapy
- BPharmacy
The programme was launched in the academic year 2006-2007 to promote India as a centre of higher studies.
