AICTE starts registration for PG scholarships; guidelines, documents required

Students will have to upload their documents for AICTE PG scholarships till November 30.
NEW DELHI: The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has invited on-line proposals from its affiliated institutions for disbursement of postgraduate scholarship to the students admitted to Master in Engineering (ME), Master in Technology (MTech), Master in Architecture (MArch) and Master in Design (MDes) in first year.
Students who have secured qualifying marks in the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE 2024) and Common Entrance Examination (CEED 2023). The AICTE said the students will have to upload their relevant information till November 30 while the institutes will have to complete the data verification process till December 15. The information has to be uploaded on the scholarship portal, pgscholarship.aicte-india.org.
AICTE has also directed the institutes to distribute student’s unique ID to the PG students admitted in approved intake of various programmes.
AICTE PG scholarship: Important guidelines
The PG scholarship will be transferred to the students under the direct bank transfer (DBT) scheme. They will have to provide the details of an active bank account that is linked with the Aadhar card. The scholarship amount will be transferred through the Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS) mode through Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
Documents required
- Scanned copy of GATE or CEED score card.
- Bank account details
- Scanned copy of original Aadhar Card in jpg or jpeg format
- Category certificate, if applicable.

Once the students have filled in the details, the institute will have to verify the student data and approve his/her candidature on the portal. The institute will have to fill the students personal details, date of admission/date of commencement and course completion date.
