CBSE to hold workshops on career development for students, parents, schools
CBSE will hold webinars on July 3, 10, 18, 24, and 29 on career counselling, education, planning, and decision making.

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting a series of virtual workshops on career development for students, parents, teachers, principals, and counselors. The training will help in professional development of the school heads, teachers, and counselors and assist students and parents in decision-making. One workshop will be conducted every week focusing on one group.
The workshops have been “specially designed to provide the participants with a holistic approach to career advising and decision-making processes.” The board has issued a schedule of workshops on its official website wherein it has provided the date and time, topics and speakers, and registration and webinar links.
The webinars meant for parents and students will be conducted on July 24 and July 29 respectively. The workshop for students will be held on the topic “From insight to impact - Self-Reflection Strategies for CBSE Student Career Planning”. The timings of the webinar will be 3 pm to 5 pm.

“All concerned are encouraged to join the sessions live on Webex or via livestream. Certificate of participation will be awarded for principals, teachers, and counselors workshops to those who submit the session feedback form within 24 hours of the live session conclusion. For those unable to join the sessions due to unavoidable circumstances, the session recordings will be available on CBSE’s official YouTube channel- http://www.youtube.com/@cbsehq1905,” said CBSE secretary Himanshu Gupta in an official notification.
CBSE career workshop for students
In the workshop, students will be taught the significance of reflective thinking as a skill to build self-reliance in recognizing their talents and capabilities. Students will be guided to realise their strengths and align them with future opportunities.
“The ultimate aim is to equip students with simple techniques to continually assess their capabilities and adapt to evolving trends in the workforce and education sectors, ensuring a lifelong alignment of their strengths with their career paths,” said CBSE.
In the webinar, students will also learn new fun career-research techniques which will not only make the process enjoyable but also provide them verified information facilitating ‘logical’ and ‘sound’ decision making.
