New Delhi: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be conducted by CBSE from December 16, 2021, to January 13, 2022 in a computer based-mode. The CTET 2021 exam is scheduled to be conducted in multiple shifts on every examination day. The CBSE will prepare different sets of question papers in each shift. Hence the CBSE has adopted the normalisation process.
The primary objective of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to adopt a CTET 2021 score normalisation process is to ensure fairness in the CTET 2021 scores and will also help deal with the variations in the difficulty level of the question papers.

What is the CTET’s normalisation process?
As per the CBSE’s official notification, the normalisation process will equalize the level of both the shift in which the question paper is tough and the shift in which the question paper is easy. The shift whose paper is tough will get some extra scores.
CBSE has taken all possible steps that each set of the CTET question paper carries the same difficulty level of questions. The CTET normalisation process will also ensure fairness to the account of any variations in the difficulty level of the question papers.
The CTET 2021 exam will be conducted for two papers from December 16 to January 13, 2022 (Paper I & II). Paper 1 is for the aspirants who want to become teachers from classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is for the aspirants who wish to become teachers from classes 6 to 8.
