The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2023) exam dates. The Board will be holding the CTET exam 2023 on August 20. Candidates will have to clear CTET exam 2023 to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for Class 1 to 8.

The CBSE Board had started the CTET application process from April 27 and recently closed the CTET correction window on June 2. Candidates must note that the CTET exam will be held in two shifts- shift 1 from 9.30 AM to 12 noon and shift 2 from 2.30 PM to 5 PM.
“The candidates registered for 17th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) are hereby informed that the CTET examination will now be conducted in offline mode i.e. pen-paper (OMR) based on 20.08.2023 (SUNDAY) all over India in the specified cities,” the official statement said.
All questions in the CTET 2023 will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be most appropriate. One mark will be awarded for every correct answer and there will be no negative marking. There will be two papers of CTET. Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes 1 to 5 and paper 2 will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes 6 to 8.
