CTET result already declared, notice on rigging in exam fake: CBSE clarifies

NEW DELHI : The Central Board of Secondary Education debunked a notice being circulated on social media about irregularities in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2022 exam and clarified that the result has been already declared. The board declared the CTET 2023 result on March 3, 2023.

The fake notice dated March 9, 2023 claimed that there has been confirmation of rigging in the CTET exam.

CBSE said in a tweet, “Public may please note that CTET result has already been declared by the board on 3.3.23.”

A total of 5,79,844 candidates qualified for CTET paper 1 and 3,76,025 qualified for paper 2. 14,22,959 candidates appeared in paper 1 while 12,76,071 wrote paper 2 exam. 17,04,282 students applied for paper 1 and 15,39,464 registered for paper 2.

The CTET December 2022 session exam was conducted from December 28, 2022 to February 7, 2023. CBSE released the CTET provisional answer key on February 14. The last date to challenge the CTET 2023 answer key was February 17, 2023.

CTET is a national-level eligibility exam conducted by the CBSE twice a year. The exam is held to select candidates for appointment as teachers in Class 1 to Class 8 in Central Government Schools.
