CUET PG 2024 records 4.6 lakh unique registrations, says report; admit card on March 7

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) received more than 4.6 lakh unique applications for the Common University Entrance Test - postgraduate (CUET PG 2024), as per the Times of India report. The CUET PG 2024 registration was closed at pgcuet.samarth.ac.in on February 10.
The CUET PG 2024 recorded a slight increase in the number of registrations compared to last year. A total of 8,77,492 candidates appeared for the exam last year for 4,597 courses. Of which, 4,59,083 were unique registrations - 2,09,740 male and 2,49,332 female candidates.
The NTA will hold the CUET PG exam 2024 from March 11 to 28 in 324 cities across India and abroad. The exam will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode like last year. As per the schedule, the NTA will next issue the CUET PG 2024 exam city intimation slip on March 4 on the official website, pgcuet.samarth.ac.in, and admit card on March 7.
The testing agency has also introduced major changes in this year’s exam. The number of shifts have been increased from two to three. The number of questions and exam duration has been reduced. Unlike last year, the CUET PG 2024 question paper will have 75 questions instead of 100 and will be given 1 hour 45 minutes to complete the exam instead of 2 hours.
A total of 39 central universities, 45 state government universities, 10 government institutions, 103 private and deemed universities took part in the previous year.
As per reports, the UGC is planning to hold the CUET UG 2024 in hybrid mode to encourage candidates from rural areas to appear for the exam from centres near by their hometown.
