Try NowNEW DELHI: On the second day of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) phase 4 exam, today, August 18, students found the the CUET 2022 paper very much easy as has been in the earlier days. However, the CUET UG mathematics paper was considered to be a little moderate in difficulty level.

CUET 2022 exam for undergraduate admissions began on Wednesday, August 17. However, the CUET 2022 asprans faced technical issues and cancellations of the exam at various centres. The CUET 2022 phase 1, 2 and 3 were disrupted with technical issues, resulting in change of exam centers and cancellations. Hence, CUET exam has been extended till August 30.
According to Amitendra Kumar, product head of CUET UG programmes at Career Launcher, the English language paper in Section 1 was overall an easy paper, with the students being able to complete the paper within 20 minutes. The paper had three passages and six direct questions, which with no difficulty. The rest of the paper had grammar and vocabulary.

In the section 2 domain questions, economics questions were based on concepts based on Class 12 syllabus. There was one case study with 5 questions and surprisingly the graph based questions were more like Data Interpretation. Qustions came from topics such as macro-economic policy indicator, goal of five-year plan, great leap forward campaign, match the following, type of economy based on means of production, consumption and saving function, marginal and average propensity to save, normative and positive economic statement. According to Kumar, if one reads the business page of a newspaper daily, one could even solve half the paper without any prior knowledge of the subject.
In accountancy, questions came from topics such as accounting-not for profit (5), partnership (7), shares and debentures based case study (10), financial statements (2), and computerized accounting (4). The paper also included five match the following questions and 10 numericals. Overall, the paper was easy, said Kumar.
In business studies, the questions were from planning (3), organizing (2), staffing (3), directing (3), controlling (3), financial markets (1), marketing (1), and consumer protection (8-10). Out of these, about 10 questions were in match the following format.
In the chemistry paper, two questions came from solutions and electrochemistry each. Other topics were chemical kinetics (4), d and f block elements (2), coordination compounds (4), haloalkanes (3), haloarenes (3) and aldehydes (3), polymers (3), chemistry in everyday life (2).

In the Biology paper, there were a couple of case study in a reading comprehension passage format with questions directly from the passage with 12 questions. One question was in the reason-assertion format. Many questions were based on female reproduction cycle and system. In match the following questions, topics such as scientists and their discoveries, and pregnancy avoidance methods appeared. Kumar says that for a student who have covered the NCERT textbook well, the paper would have been very easy.
The general awareness in the section 3 of the CUET UG 2022 phase 4 had more questions from static general knowledge. Questions were asked about the first female prime minister, study of birds, moon, soil etc., capitals and country, authors, mughal rulers posed no difficulty. In the numeral ability part, the questions were basic and the would have been easy for to solve for those who practiced, opined Kumar. Questions appeared from topics such as quadratic equations, geometry, time and work, time, speed and distance, HCF, common factor, trigonometry, BODMAS, area, rhombus, simple interest, cone, percentages. In reasoning, questions were based on visual reasoning, set theory, blood relations, coding, directions, and analogy.
