Delhi Nursery Admissions 2026: DoE announces schedule for open seats; registrations begin from December 4

The admission process for nursery schools for open seats other than EWS, DG, CWSN seats will be closed on December 27, 2025.
The Directorate of Education, (DoE) Delhi has announced the schedule for nursery admissions in private unaided recognised schools for the academic session 2026-27. The admission process for entry level classes for students below six years of age for open seats will begin from December 4.
The admission process for nursery schools for open seats other than Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Disadvantaged Groups (DG), Children With Special Need (CWSN) seats will be closed on December 27, 2025.
“In order to conduct the admission process smoothly at the Entry Level Classes (below six years of age) in Private Unaided Recognized Schools of Delhi the following admission schedule along with instructions is issued for conducting admissions for the Open Seats (other than EWS/DG /CWSN Category seats) for the academic session 2026-27,” according to the official notice.
Rs 25 non refundable fee will be charged from the parents as admission registration fee and the purchase of prospectus of the school by the parents shall be options, the notice reads.
The DoE has also directed all pre-school, pre-primary and Class 1-level to reserve 25% seats for EWS, DG category students and children with disability.

Age criteria for admission to Nursery, KG and Class 1
Students must be from over age 3 to 6 years to be eligible for admission to nursery, KG, and Class 1.
