Try NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur will conduct GATE 2022 as an online exam. Every year, lakhs of candidates appear for GATE exam aiming for admission to postgraduate programmes (MTech) in the participating institutes or to be recruited by Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
Candidates preparing for GATE 2022 should have a proper study plan in order to crack the exam. Although a study plan can differ from one candidate to another, here are some tips that students should refer to during their GATE 2022 preparation.

Know the exam pattern and syllabus- The most important thing is to understand the GATE exam pattern and syllabus for the subject paper candidate is appearing for. Knowledge of the GATE 2022 syllabus will help candidates to study the right topics for the exam.
Time-table is a must- Candidates should devise a timetable with an aim to complete the entire GATE 2022 syllabus within time. Only preparing a timetable will not help; it must be followed religiously.
Important Books- Candidates should refer to the best books for GATE 2022 in order to ace the exam. Referring to the correct books is very important.

Revise and Revise- Candidates should give proper time for revision in their study plan. Revision of the entire GATE syllabus is also important.
Mock test and previous year question papers- Candidates should attempt more and more GATE mock tests and previous year question papers in order to have an overview of the actual examination. GATE mock tests also help candidates to analyse their performance and improve their weaker areas.
Other than the above tips, candidates should never panic during their GATE 2022 preparation even if they think that their performance in mock tests is not good or much of their syllabus is left to be covered. Students should always be calm and do their best.
As per The Times of India report, GATE 2022 will be conducted for 29 subject papers . Two new subject papers will be added for GATE 2022 namely- Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, and Geomatics Engineering.
