As per the official website, the following updates have been introduced in GATE 2025

• The Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE), IIT Kanpur will admit MTech students through the GATE 2025 examination.
• Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) will use GATE 2025 results for recruitment in Civil Engineering (CE), Chemical Engineering (CH), Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC), Electrical Engineering (EE), Instrumentation Engineering (IN), and Mechanical Engineering (ME).
• Grid Controller of India Limited (GRID-INDIA) will use GATE 2025 results for recruitment in Electrical Engineering (EE).
• Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) will use GATE 2025 results for recruitment in Chemical Engineering (CH), Computer Science and Information Technology (CS), Electrical Engineering (EE), Instrumentation Engineering (IN), and Mechanical Engineering (ME).

A valid GATE score can be used to seek financial assistance for master's and direct doctoral programmes in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, and humanities. MTech students will receive Rs 12,400 per month for 22 months under the PG Scholarship. For PhD programmes, candidates with a valid GATE score receive Rs 37,000 per month for the first two years and Rs 42,000 per month from the third to the fifth year, as per the ministry of finance guidelines.

To secure admission into IITs, NITs, and IISc, candidates must score above the GATE 2025 admission cut-off. IISc Bangalore will release its own GATE 2025 admission cut-off, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in the counselling process.
