Haryana govt changes school timings for all classes from March 1
Haryana schools will function from 8 am to 2:30 pm from March 1, 2022; Classes were previously held from 10 am to 2 pm

NEW DELHI: Haryana schools will function from 8 am to 2:30 pm from March 1, 2022, onwards as per a recent order from the Directorate of School Education. The DSE has issued instructions to all district education officers and district elementary education officers.
“Haryana government has changed the school timings from 1st March 2022. Now schools will open from 8 am to 2:30 pm. In this regard, the Directorate of School Education has issued instructions to all District Education Officers and District Elementary Education Officers,” said a tweet from the Official Twitter handle of Directorate of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Haryana.

The Haryana government had previously changed school timings in the state from December 20, 2021 onwards. The classes were then scheduled from 10 am to 2 pm.
Schools were reopened in Haryana from February 10. Offline sessions for Classes 10, 11 and 12 already began in Haryana on February 1. Schools and colleges in Haryana were closed till January 26 due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.

Manohar Lal Khattar, chief minister of Haryana had recently said that schools will take up skill development subject for students studying in Classes 9 to 12. He further said that the government is making efforts to facilitate quality and employable education to students.
