IIM Kashipur launches 5-day management development programme on soft skills

IIM-Kashipur has also launched an MDP programme titled 'Effective Workplace Communication for Managers of Tomorrow'.
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur has launched a 5-day Open Management Development Programme (MDP) for managers and executives to enhance competencies at organisational levels. The programme titled ‘Soft Skills for the Workplace of Tomorrow’ will be held from February 5 to 9.
The 'Soft Skills for the Workplace of Tomorrow' programme aims to help participants “develop soft skills and build a better effective executive presence while emphasizing adaptability to changing global scenarios”. The 5-day will help professionals to excel in areas such as problem-solving, leadership, communication, critical thinking and executive storytelling.
Smarak Samarjeet, IIM Kashipur programme-director said: “Soft skills play an important role in high-impact leadership. The Soft Skills MDP program by IIM Kashipur caters to the growing industry need for executives who can contribute to organizational growth.”
The 5-day MDPs will hold four daily sessions over five days. In addition to this, IIM Kashipur has launched an MDP programme titled 'Effective Workplace Communication for Managers of Tomorrow'.

This programme will focus on communication styles, adaptations, authenticity, listening skills, and persuasive language. “The goal is to help participants understand different communication situations, learn persuasive techniques, and develop unique communication styles,” it said.
The institute has been awarded the highest of 4-stars in the Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) ratings by the ministry of education for the academic year 2023. Recently, the institute has introduced a number of programmes for working professionals.
IIM Kashipur introduces digital empowerment and capacity building learning in line with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) for working professionals. There are two management programmes, MBA and MBA Analytics, which are being offered in regular mode by the institute.
In a first, the institute in collaboration with Zenith Railway Academy has launched an 11-month executive management programme for railway professionals.
