Students arriving from other states are being sent directly to the designated isolation wards.
All students in isolation wards are getting tested for COVID-19 on the fifth day of their arrival. They are allotted rooms in their regular hostels only after obtaining a negative RT-PCR report.
If any student is found positive, they are being shifted to a super-isolation facility centre from the isolation ward for the next 14 days.
The statement further said that IIT Jodhpur is conducting random testing of all the residents in the hostel on a regular basis in association with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jodhpur. It is conducting more than 200 RT-PCR tests per day not only for the students but also for the supporting staff.
The isolation ward and super-isolation wards are being used for home isolation for the last 8-9 months with all requisite arrangements.
