IIT Kanpur: Top 100 JEE Advanced 2024 rank holders will get Rs 3 lakh scholarships

IIT Kanpur Bright Minds Scholarships: Each eligible student will be granted an annual amount of Rs 3 lakh.
NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024 result has been announced today, June 9. Among the 21,634 candidates registered under the Kanpur Zone, managed by IIT Kanpur, 21,169 appeared for the exam, with 4,926 emerging as qualified candidates. The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) extends its congratulations to the successful candidates of JEE Advanced 2024.
The IIT Kanpur official press release read, "IIT Kanpur proudly congratulates the outstanding achievers of the JEE Advanced 2024. We extend special recognition to Ved Lahoti for securing the All-India Rank 1, and to Dwija Dharmesh kumar Patel, the highest-ranked female candidate, for achieving an impressive 7th rank."
JEE Advanced 2024: Top performers in IIT Kanpur zone
This year, Manya Jain has emerged as the leading performer from the Kanpur Zone, securing an All India Rank (AIR) of 75, followed by Shubham Nair (AIR 131), Garv Chaudha (AIR 163), Shreshtha Gupta (AIR 191), and Siddharth Aggarwal (AIR 306). Notably, among female candidates, Shreshtha Gupta has secured an AIR of 191, making her the top-ranking female candidate in the zone.
JEE Advanced 2024 IIT Kanpur Zone: Gender-wise data
Among the 21,634 registered candidates from the IIT Kanpur zone, a total of 17,700 were male candidates, with 17,333 appearing for the exam and 4,338 qualifying. In contrast, there were 3,934 female candidates registered, 3,843 of whom appeared for the exam, with 590 qualifying.
Continuation of Bright Minds Scholarships
In recognition of these achievements and the dedication of the students, IIT Kanpur has decided to extend its "Bright Minds Scholarships" for the All-India Top 100 rank-holders of JEE Advanced 2024 for the fourth consecutive year. According to the press release, these scholarships, supported by alumnus Lokvir Kapoor, were established in 2021 to guarantee that no deserving student encounters financial obstacles in their academic journey.
Scholarship amount and eligibility
The "Bright Minds Scholarships" provide ten academic scholarships to students admitted to BTech, BS programmes at IIT Kanpur for the academic year 2024. Each eligible student will be granted an annual scholarship of Rs 3 lakh, supporting their expenses throughout their undergraduate program. These scholarships will be awarded for the entire four-year duration of the undergraduate program, contingent upon students maintaining a minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 8.0.
