IIT Kanpur hosts annual social entrepreneurship competition

The IITK Hult Prize OnCampus competition provided a platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase innovative solutions to global challenges.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) hosted the Hult Prize OnCampus competition with CampusFund as the investment partner. The annual social entrepreneurship competition aims to challenge students to create impactful, sustainable, and scalable solutions to global challenges.
The theme of this year's competition was 'redesigning fashion'. The participating themes were tasked with developing innovative solutions to promote sustainability, ethical practices, and social responsibility in the fashion industry. The event also included sessions from selected keynote speakers.

An IIT Kanpur-incubated startup, Phool.co, founder, Ankit Agarwal, shared his experiences and insights on social entrepreneurship and sustainability along with challenges and opportunities in creating social enterprise. This was followed by a session by Hult, marketing coordinator, Kanan Shah who gave an overview of the Hult Prize competition and its mission to empower young entrepreneurs to create innovative solutions to global challenges in the session titled "Intro to Hult."
While addressing the attendees, previous winner of the Hult Prize competition, Manish Ranjan shared his experiences and insights on what it takes to succeed in the competition and create a successful social enterprise. He also discussed the challenges and opportunities he faced during his journey and shared advice on how to develop a strong business plan.
The Hult Prize OnCampus competition provided a platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase their talents and creativity and come up with innovative solutions to pressing global challenges. Team Closers were announced as the winners of the OnCampus round.
