IIT Kanpur launches ‘SATHEE ICAR’ platform for ICAR UG entrance exam preparation

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) has introduced "SATHEE ICAR," a new platform designed specifically for students preparing for the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) UG entrance exams. This initiative, developed by IIT Kanpur in partnership with the Ministry of Education (MoE), aims to provide students across the country with free, high-quality preparation resources for various competitive exams.
The IIT Kanpur official press release read, "Building on the success of its platforms for JEE, NEET, SSC, and Banking services exam preparations, this new ICAR-focused addition underscores the government’s commitment to providing accessible, top-tier educational support for a broad spectrum of competitive exams."
SATHEE ICAR: Learning resources and AI-driven analytics
As per the IIT Kanpur official press release, SATHEE ICAR provides a wide range of learning resources, featuring recorded lectures by IIT professors, live interactive sessions with subject experts, and a collection of practice topic-wise questions. Moreover, students will have access to AI-driven analytics that monitor learning progress, pinpoint areas needing improvement, and offer personalized study plans.

According to the official press release of IIT Kanpur , The SATHEE ICAR platform also includes a series of mock tests to help students in their preparation by comparing their performance with peers across the country. Aspirants can sign up for SATHEE ICAR via the website, icar.iitk.ac.in or by downloading the SATHEE app from the app store or google play store and register for free.
On the launch of SATHEE ICAR, Manindra Agrawal, IIT Kanpur director, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “The expansion of SATHEE to include ICAR exam preparation allows us to further transform education and empower students across diverse fields. By offering specialized learning resources for education in agricultural sciences, we are not only broadening our academic outreach but also making a substantial contribution to the nation’s agricultural development."
ICAR UG exam
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) conducts entrance exams for admission into undergraduate programs in agriculture and related sciences at various prestigious institutions across India. The exam is held for admission to over 70 universities, including leading institutions like the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), and Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE).
Successful candidates can pursue degrees in fields such as Agronomy, Horticulture, Veterinary Sciences, and Agricultural Engineering, paving the way for careers in research, academia, agribusiness, and government sectors. Beyond academics, the ICAR exams open doors to significant employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors, including roles in agricultural extension, research organizations, and agro-industries.
