IIT Roorkee, Jaro Education collaborate to launch data science and AI programme

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has collaborated with Jaro Education, an online learning platform that partners with Indian universities, to launch a Post Graduate Certificate Program in Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The IIT Roorkee official press release read, "This executive programme, offered by the Continuing Education Centre at IIT Roorkee, aims to equip professionals with the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in the fields of data science and artificial intelligence"
As per the IIT Roorkee press release, the PG certificate course in Applied Data Science and AI is designed to provide a comprehensive educational experience, encompassing both theoretical knowledge and practical applications in these fields. As per the official statement, the curriculum is consistently updated to reflect the latest industry developments, including the integration of Generative AI, ensuring that participants remain up-to-date with emerging technologies.
As per IIT Roorkee , the programme will delve into fundamental concepts, techniques, and real-world applications of data science and AI. Participants will gain hands-on experience with essential software tools and technologies like Python, R, SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-based analytics. The programme includes live online sessions conducted by IIT Roorkee faculty and offers two optional on-campus immersions

Candidates are required to hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate marks and have a minimum of one year of work experience. To apply, candidates are required to submit their personal information, educational qualifications, resume, and a statement of purpose. The programme duration ranges from 6 to 8 months.
