JAIN Online launches MCA in cyber security; eligibility

NEW DELHI: JAIN Online launched a two-year Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme in Cyber Security. As per the official press release, the programme aims to train professionals to secure financial systems across various sectors.
The programme curriculum includes topics such as data structures, computer concepts, and problem-solving using C Lab, Java programming, cybersecurity laws, design and analysis of algorithms, app development, Python programming, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI, ML) lab, cyber threat intelligence, defensive cyber security technologies, and vulnerability analysis.
As per the official press release, graduates will be prepared for key roles upon completion of this online programme which includes ethical hacker, network security engineer, chief information security officer (CISO), analyst, manager, cybersecurity engineer, and cloud security engineer.
Eligibility
Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the programme before applying for it.

Candidates should have passed an undergraduate programme of a minimum duration of three years in any stream from a university recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

A minimum aggregate of 50% or an equivalent letter, numerical grade is required.

A relaxation of 5% is granted to scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) candidates.

Candidates who are in the final semester of their bachelor's program are also eligible to apply.

Speaking about the programme, the vice-chancellor of JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University), Raj Singh, said, “In today's digital age, the importance of cybersecurity can not be underestimated. Our MCA program in Cyber Security will address the urgent need for skilled professionals who can protect and secure financial mechanisms across sectors.”
“The Online MCA in Cyber Security will provide learners with in-depth exposure to professional, industry-ready courses. While pursuing the programme, learners will master modern technologies, including cloud computing and security, cryptography, and penetration testing, among many others,” he further said.
