The JEE Advanced registration 2025 for IIT admissions will commence on April 23 and conclude on May 5.

IIT-K will conduct the JEE Advanced 2025 exam on May 18 for the top 2.5 lakh rank holders in the JEE Main 2025 exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Through JEE Advanced 2025, IITs offer admission into undergraduate courses leading to a bachelors, integrated masters, bachelor-master dual degree in engineering, sciences, or architecture.
In the first week of November, IIT Kanpur said that the number of attempts for JEE Advanced 2025 has been increased to three. Two weeks later, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) restored the old two-attempt policy. Which means, aspirants will be able to attempt JEE Advanced maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
Students who appeared in Class 12 board exam in 2024 and those who are going to sit for the upcoming board exam 2025 will be eligible to register for the exam. Additionally, the 75% pass criteria is mandatory to get admission in IITs.
As per the JEE Advanced age limit 2025, “Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000. Five years age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e. these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1995.”
Besides 23 IITs, some centrally funded institutes - Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) located in Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Rae Bareli, and Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam, also use JEE Advanced score to offer admission to BTech courses.
