JKBOSE Class 10 exams cancelled; Class 12 exam postponed

NEW DELHI: Jammu Kashmir government has decided to postpone Class 12 exams and cancel the Class 10 exams, in view of the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Class 10 students will be promoted to the next class and the decision on Class 12 exam will be announced after one month.
“In view of rising cases of #COVID19, Class X ongoing exams for remaining subjects has been cancelled and their promotion to Class XI will be decided on the basis of their performance in subjects already undertaken in the present exam and internal assessment. In case of ongoing XII exams, it has been postponed and it will be reviewed after one month,” the LG of Jammu and Kashmir tweeted.

As per the schedule, the Class 10 and 12 examinations are already started on April 3 and April 1, 2021, respectively. JKBOSE Class 10 exams were to conclude on April 24, 2021, whereas Class 12 exams were to continue till April 29, 2021.
The exams got interrupted mid-way due to the rise in the number of coronavirus cases. The decision was taken to control the spread of the infection. Several other state boards have also cancelled and postponed their exams.
